Switchable T-Slot for Dual-Circularly-Polarized Slot-Array Antennas in Ka-Band

This letter presents two slotted array antennas working in the Ka -band with switchable circular polarization capability. The first prototype is a series-fed slotted-waveguide linear composed of ten T-shaped slots. second antenna 2-D 2 × slots fed by corporate distribution network. In both cases, reflection coefficient below $-$ 10 dB has been experimentally observed within targeted frequency band between 29.5 and 30.5 GHz. Good purity achieved for senses prototypes. fundamental contribution this to propose simple mechanism switch sense low-cost, low-profile, high-efficient antenna. design experimental results confirm that solution suitable one- two-dimensional arrays millimeter-wave band.
